We don’t expect you to know everything when preparing for a cremation or burial, so we’ve put together some frequently asked questions to make it easier. If you can’t find an answer to a question not listed in our FAQs please give us a a call or email us through our contact page.

Question 1: Are you available 24hours a day, 7 days a week, holidays?

Yes. We are available both online and on our 24 hour phone number, 503-769-2156

Question 2: If I purchase an Immediate Need package on CremationOL, do I also need to phone in to arrange transport of the body?

Yes. It is important to call us to make sure a member of our staff can arrange the transport of your loved one.

Question 3: What is the difference between immediate need and pre-planned cremation or burial services?

Immediate need services are for someone who is already deceased. Pre-planned cremation is for someone who has not yet passed. Pre-planned cremation services can be planned as far as two years in advanced.

Question 4: Will I need to retrieve the ashes of my loved one or does CremationOL deliver?

No, we can deliver your ashes to your residence or to a local cemetery. There is a $100 fee for this service. You can also pick up your loved one’s ashes at our facility in Stayton. The $100 fee will be refunded to you. Keep in mind that we will only hold the ashes for 45 days.

Question 5: Where do I pick up the cremated remains?

You pick up the cremated remains at 250 Fern Ridge Road Stayton, OR 97383.

Question 6: What happens after I purchase a package online? Will someone call me back? When?

Yes. A member of our staff will  call you within 24 hrs and you will also receive email confirmation.

Question 7: What if I purchase online and need transport immediately?

Please call us at 503-769-2156. Our staff is available around the clock to assist you.

Question 8: Does CremationOL provide death certificates?

CremationOL does not directly provide death certificates, however, our staff will help you order them from the Oregon Vital Records office, known as the Center for Health Statistics.

Question 9: What paperwork is required?

You will need to complete and sign the Cremation Authorization Form. You can send it to us in one of three ways listed below.

3. Print and email it

4. E-sign the Authorization Form and submit it

You will also need to fill out the vital statisic form. This form will be used for the death certificate.

Question 10: Can I send in paperwork via email? To which address?

Yes, you can mail paperwork to our facility at 250 Fern Ridge Road Stayton, OR 97383, or scan and email it to CremationOnline1@gmail.com.

Question 11: What do I do if I want an obituary?

Obituary assistance is included in every package and our staff can assist you with this. We can also help you publish an obituary in a newspaper for an additional cost.

Question 12: Can I purchase a cremation package before my loved one has passed?

Yes. Many people pre-plan cremation and burials for their loved ones and themselves. Pre-planning allows you to secure a lower price, reduce the emotional toll placed on loved ones, and choose only the options that are important to you.
